By accessing and using our site or by submitting information to us, you consent to our collection, use and disclosure of information in accordance with this Privacy Statement.

It may be necessary for Hui Xiang Group and/or its affiliates ("Hui Xiang Group", "we" or "us") to review and revise our Privacy Statement. We reserve the right to amend our Privacy Statement at any time. We may collect and retain personal and other information about you (a) send us an e-mail; (b) complete and submit an online form; or (c) provide us with personal information.

The submitted information which we retain and use may include your e-mail and postal address, contact details and personal or other information. (If you are interested in joining us as an employee, please see Hui Xiang Group's Personal Information Collection Statement (Staff) which sets out the purposes for which your personal data will be used and potential transferees of your personal data as an employee). You acknowledge and agree that submitted information may be used and disclosed by us to an extent authorized by you or as reasonably required in connection with the operation of our businesses and our compliances with the provisions of and applicable laws.

We would like to use client's name and contact details to send Hui Xiang Group's newsletter subscribers newsletters and/or related products but we must obtain the written consent (or an indication of no objection) of persons who become our clients (or staff) after 1 April 2013 before we can do so in observing to the Ordinance. If you do not want to receive our materials, please send an email stating this to our Human Resources and Administration Officer at general@huixgp.com. Data held by us relating to a client will generally be kept confidential but Hui Xiang Group may provide such information for the above purposes to:

  • any other branch or associated firm or office of Hui Xiang Group;
  • a government agency such as the Hong Kong Police, the Hong Kong Customs and Excise Service, the Hong Kong Immigration Service and the Independent Commission against Corruption, if Hui Xiang Group knows or suspects that any person is engaged in drug trafficking, terrorism or any other serious crime or handling the proceeds of crime or that any property constitutes terrorist property; in this case, the obligation to report to the authorities may override Hui Xiang Group's confidentiality obligations;

We will not transfer data relating to a client to a third person for that person's marketing activities.

We may use cookies ("web analytic" cookies) to help us track usage patterns in order to improve and manage our site. When you visit our site, our server records (i) your server (IP) address and machine name; (ii) the date and time of visit to this site and time spent on particular pages; (iii) pages accessed and documents downloaded; (iv) the number of bytes transmitted and received for each request; (v) the previous site or page visited; (vi) the search engine and keywords used; (vii) any linked referral; and (viii) the type of browser used and its operating system. We may share aggregated demographic information with business partners, affiliates and other entities. This aggregate information is not linked or traceable to any personal information about any individual user. Your personal information held by us is available to you at your request, and may be deleted at any time at your request.

If we no longer require submitted information, we will take reasonable steps to permanently destroy or de-identify that information. You acknowledge that our back-up procedures may make it impractical to locate and destroy or de-identify copies of submitted information which are stored off-line or in a form which does not readily permit location and modification of data.
